E1
The vacuum will not run; the LED flashes E1 shortly after the trigger is pulled.
Overcurrent / Motor Overload Protection
E10
Vacuum does not start; E10 or a continuous amber LED is shown; works briefly then stops when shaken.
Internal Connection / Harness Intermittent Fault
E2
Vacuum shuts down after a few seconds of use; E2 LED pattern or code is shown on the status indicator.
Overtemperature / Thermal Cutout Activation
E3
Vacuum will not start; E3 indicator pattern is shown when the trigger is pulled with the battery installed.
Battery Pack Communication / Identification Fault
E4
Vacuum runs only at low speed or surges; E4 code or flashing pattern is shown on the speed/charge indicator.
Motor Control / PWM Driver Fault
E5
Vacuum stops abruptly under light load; E5 indicator or beeping pattern is shown; restarts after battery removal.
Undervoltage / Battery Protection Trip
E6
Vacuum will not start; E6 or a solid red LED is shown when the battery is installed and the trigger is pulled.
Short Circuit / Overcurrent Protection
E7
LED indicator shows E7 or rapid red flashing; the vacuum does not respond to the trigger.
Trigger / Switch Input Fault
E8
Vacuum runs but speed is erratic; E8 code or alternating red/amber LEDs are shown.
Motor Speed Feedback / Hall Sensor Fault
E9
Vacuum powers on but shuts off when switching to high power mode; E9 indicator is shown.
High-Load Mode Overcurrent / Mode Switch Fault
Symptom
Battery becomes very hot to the touch after short use in the vacuum
Excessive Current Draw / Battery Overheating
Symptom
Dust canister or tank is difficult to remove or reinstall
Canister Latch / Alignment Issue
Symptom
Dust or debris escapes from around the lid or seams of the vacuum.
Air Leak / Seal Failure
Symptom
Fine dust blows out of the exhaust while vacuuming.
Filter Bypass / Filter Damage
Symptom
Hose collapses or kinks easily, reducing suction
Hose Structural Failure
Symptom
Trigger feels loose, sticks, or does not return fully.
Mechanical Trigger Failure
Symptom
Vacuum body or handle becomes uncomfortably hot during normal use
Tool Overheating / Inadequate Cooling
Symptom
Vacuum body shows cracks or damage after a drop; performance is affected.
Structural Housing Damage
Symptom
Vacuum emits a burning smell or visible smoke during use.
Electrical Overheating / Motor Burnout
Symptom
Vacuum emits unusual clicking or sparking sounds from motor area
Commutator / Brush Arcing (for brushed motor variants)
Symptom
Vacuum intermittently loses suction, but motor speed remains constant.
Cyclone / Internal Passage Blockage
Symptom
Vacuum is very loud or makes a high-pitched whine compared to normal operation.
Motor Bearing Wear / Fan Damage
Symptom
Vacuum leaves debris behind on floor even though suction feels strong at hose
Nozzle / Floor Tool Inefficiency
Symptom
Vacuum motor runs but suction is very weak.
Reduced Airflow / Suction Loss
Symptom
Vacuum produces a strong electrical or ozone-like smell but no visible smoke.
Early Motor Insulation Breakdown / Overheating
Symptom
Vacuum produces static shocks to the user during operation.
Static Discharge Buildup
Symptom
Vacuum runs but LED work light (if equipped) does not turn on
LED Work Light Circuit Failure
Symptom
Vacuum runs but stops when hose is flexed or rotated
Hose-Related Electrical Interruption (for models with hose-mounted switches or sensors)
Symptom
Vacuum runs only for a few seconds then stops; battery LEDs show low or flashing.
Short Runtime / Battery Capacity Loss
Symptom
Vacuum runs, but there is a whistling or hissing noise from joints or connections.
Minor Air Leak at Joints
Symptom
Vacuum shuts off quickly when picking up liquids; restarts after a short time
Float Valve Activation / Liquid Level Protection
Symptom
Vacuum shuts off when tilted or carried, but works when set down.
Intermittent Power / Orientation-Sensitive Connection
Symptom
Vacuum smells musty or moldy when turned on.
Biological Growth in Tank / Filter
Symptom
Vacuum vibrates excessively or rattles during operation.
Mechanical Imbalance / Loose Components
Symptom
Vacuum will not pick up liquids (for wet/dry capable cordless models)
Wet Pickup Function Failure
Symptom
Vacuum will not turn on at all; no lights, no sound when the trigger is pulled.
No Power / Dead Tool Condition
