E01
Furnace does not start; display shows E01 immediately after a call for heat.
No Flame Detected on Ignition
E02
Furnace attempts to start but locks out with E02; the fan may run briefly, but no flame is established.
Ignition Failure / No Gas Flow
E03
Furnace shuts down shortly after ignition; the display shows E03 and the burner stops.
Flame Loss During Operation
E04
Furnace will not start; the display shows E04 and the combustion fan may not run.
Flue Gas Fan / Combustion Fan Failure
E05
Furnace locks out with E05; the burner does not start, and you may hear the fan running only.
Air Pressure Switch / Differential Pressure Fault
E06
The display shows E06 and the furnace stops; this may occur during operation or startup.
Overheat / Safety Thermostat Tripped
E07
The furnace shows E07 and will not operate; this may be accompanied by unusual temperature readings.
Flow Temperature Sensor Fault (NTC Open/Short)
E08
The display shows E08; the furnace may run at reduced output or shut down.
Return Temperature Sensor Fault (NTC Open/Short)
E09
The furnace displays E09 and stops; this may occur when domestic hot water is drawn (on combi models).
DHW Temperature Sensor Fault
E10
Furnace displays E10; no heating, and the system pressure gauge may read low.
Low Water Pressure / Water Pressure Switch Open
E11
Furnace displays E11 and shuts down; this may be associated with very high temperature readings.
Overtemperature Lockout / Flow NTC Overrange
E12
Furnace displays E12; the burner does not start, and the fan may run briefly.
Flue Gas Temperature Sensor Fault
E13
The display shows E13; the furnace may shut down during operation, especially at high load.
Flue Gas Overtemperature
E14
Furnace displays E14 and will not start; this may appear after power surges or wiring work.
Communication Error Between Control Board and User Interface
E15
Furnace displays E15; no heating or DHW (Domestic Hot Water) operation.
Gas Valve Circuit Error
E16
Furnace displays E16; this may occur intermittently during operation.
Circulation Pump Fault / Pump Feedback Error
E17
The display shows E17; the furnace may not respond to the thermostat or room controller.
Room Thermostat / External Control Fault
E18
Furnace displays E18; this may be accompanied by erratic temperature readings or frequent cycling.
Outdoor Temperature Sensor Fault (if equipped)
E19
The display shows E19; the furnace may not modulate correctly or may shut down.
Fan Speed / RPM Feedback Error
E20
Furnace shows E20; no response to user inputs, or random resets.
Internal Control Board Error / EEPROM Fault
Symptom
Condensate water backs up or drips from unintended places around a condensing Kospel furnace.
Condensate Drain Blockage
Symptom
Domestic hot water temperature fluctuates or runs hot then cold on a Kospel combi furnace.
Unstable DHW Temperature
Symptom
Furnace is noisy during operation; whistling, roaring, or droning sounds come from the burner area.
Combustion Noise / Burner Instability
Symptom
Furnace runs but the house is not heating adequately; radiators or underfloor loops are lukewarm.
Insufficient Heat Output / Underheating
Symptom
Furnace runs continuously and overshoots the room temperature set on the thermostat.
Overheating / Thermostat Control Issue
Symptom
Furnace starts but shuts down after a few seconds without showing an error code.
Early Flame Failure or Safety Interlock Trip
Symptom
Furnace vibrates excessively or rattles during operation.
Mechanical Vibration / Loose Mounting
Symptom
Kospel furnace frequently needs manual resetting to restore operation, even though it eventually runs.
Intermittent Lockouts
Symptom
Radiators on upper floors are cold while lower floors heat normally.
Air Lock / Poor Circulation to Upper Levels
Symptom
Safety relief valve on the furnace frequently discharges water.
Overpressure / Expansion Vessel Failure
Symptom
The furnace display is on but does not respond to button presses or changes settings erratically.
User Interface / Keypad Failure
Symptom
The furnace emits a burning smell or plastic odor when running.
Overheating Electrical Component or Dust Burn-Off
Symptom
The furnace frequently starts and stops (short cycling) even when heating demand is constant.
Short Cycling
Symptom
The furnace will not start at all; the display is blank and no lights are on.
No Power / Dead Unit
Symptom
Water is leaking from the bottom of the Kospel furnace or from internal components.
