COL
Display shows COL or COOL, and the heater does not run; the spa may be in a protection mode after an overheat or power event.
Cool-Down Mode / Temperature Protection
DR
Display shows DR or DRY, and the heater is disabled; the spa may attempt to run the pump but shuts down quickly.
Dry-Fire Protection / Low Water in Heater
DY
Display shows DY or DRY YET; the spa may cycle pumps but will not heat.
Persistent Dry Condition Detected
EC
Display shows EC or ECO; the spa heats less often and may not maintain a high temperature.
Economy Heating Mode Active
Er1
Display shows Er1 or ERR1 at startup; spa may not respond to button presses.
Topside Control Communication Error
Er2
Display shows Er2 or ERR2; some functions may work, but the display is erratic.
Keypad Button Stuck or Shorted
Er3
Display shows Er3 or ERR3; the spa may shut down or behave unpredictably.
Internal Control Pack Error
FLC
Display alternates between FLC and the temperature reading; the spa may heat intermittently or not at all.
Flow Switch Closed When It Should Be Open
FLO
Display shows FLO or FL, and the heater will not turn on; sometimes pumps run, but there is weak or no water movement from the heater return jets.
Insufficient Water Flow Through Heater
GFCI
The display goes blank, and the GFCI indicator trips whenever the spa tries to heat or run jets.
Ground Fault / Leakage Current Detected
HL
Control panel shows HL or HILI, and the spa stops heating; pumps may still run, but the heater is disabled.
High-Limit Sensor Trip
Htr
Display shows HTR ERR or HEATER ERR; the spa will not heat, though pumps may run.
Heater Circuit Failure
ICE
Display shows ICE or IC, and pumps may run automatically even when the spa is not in use.
Freeze Protection Mode
LOC
Display shows LOC or LOCK, and buttons on the AquaRest topside control are unresponsive.
Panel Lock / Child Lock Enabled
OH
Control panel displays OH and the spa shuts down; water in the AquaRest spa feels excessively hot, often above 108°F (42°C).
Overheat Protection Trip
PF
Display shows PF or PFAIL after a power outage; the spa may not resume normal operation until reset.
Power Failure Detected
Prr
Display shows PRR or PUMP ERR; jets may not run or may shut off quickly.
Pump Relay or Pump Error
SE
Display shows SE or SENSOR ERR; spa may shut down heating and pumps intermittently.
General Sensor Error
SL
Display shows SL or SLP; water temperature drops more than expected between cycles.
Sleep Heating Mode Active
SN1
Display shows SN1 or SENS1, and the spa will not heat; the temperature reading may be very low or dashed.
Primary Temperature Sensor Failure
SN2
Display shows SN2 or SENS2; the spa may run, but the heater is disabled or behaves erratically.
Secondary / High-Limit Sensor Failure
Display shows dashes (---) or no temperature reading; the spa may not heat.
Temperature Reading Lost
Symptom
Air bubbles are weak or absent from jets even though water flow seems normal.
Air Induction / Venturi Problem
Symptom
Circulation pump is noisy, runs hot, or does not move water; heater often shuts off with flow-related errors.
Circulation Pump Failure
Symptom
Jets do not run; pressing the jets button does nothing or only produces a humming sound from the pump.
Jet Pump Failure or Seizure
Symptom
Ozone generator indicator is off and water requires more chemicals to stay clear.
Ozone System Failure
Symptom
Spa frequently turns on and off by itself, cycling pumps and heater more than expected.
Control Logic or Sensor Cycling
Symptom
Spa is leaking water inside the equipment bay; puddles form under the AquaRest cabinet.
Internal Plumbing or Component Leak
Symptom
Spa lights do not turn on, or some LEDs are out while others work.
LED Lighting Circuit or Module Failure
Symptom
Spa makes loud banging, knocking, or vibration noises when jets are on.
Hydraulic Vibration / Cavitation
Symptom
Spa trips the house breaker (not just GFCI) when jets or heater turn on.
Overcurrent / Circuit Overload
Symptom
Spa water has a strong burning or electrical smell near the equipment bay.
Overheating Electrical Component
Symptom
The spa heats very slowly or cannot reach the set temperature, especially in cold weather.
Insufficient Heating Performance
Symptom
The spa shell surface around jets or seats feels unusually hot to the touch even when the water temperature is normal.
Localized Overheating / Poor Circulation
Symptom
The spa will not heat; water stays cold even though pumps run and the set temperature is higher than the actual temperature.
No Heat Condition
Symptom
The spa will not turn on at all; no lights on the topside control, no pump activity.
No Power / Dead Spa
Symptom
Topside control buttons are unresponsive or only some functions work intermittently.
Keypad / Topside Control Failure
Symptom
Water is cloudy, foamy, or has a strong odor despite the spa running normally.
Water Quality / Sanitation Problem
Symptom
Water leaks from around one or more jets in the spa shell.
Jet Body or Gasket Leak
