Possible Causes
Partially failed heating element, Faulty temperature sensor (NTC) reading too high, Miscalibrated thermostat or control board, Heat loss due to damaged door seal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before internal testing.
- Check door seal: Inspect the rubber gasket around the door for gaps, tears, or compression. Replace if it does not seal evenly.
- Test elements: Visually check that all elements glow (where visible) when heating. Measure resistance and compare with specifications; replace any element with significantly higher resistance or visible damage.
- Verify temperature: Use an oven thermometer to compare actual temperature with the set value. If the difference is large, test the NTC sensor and replace if out of range.
- Control calibration: Some Candy models allow temperature calibration via the control menu; refer to the user manual. If not, and all hardware is good, the control board may need replacement.
