E01
The pump will not start; the digital controller shows E01 immediately after power-on.
Motor Overload / Overcurrent Protection Trip
E02
The pump stops during operation, and the controller displays E02; it will restart after cooling.
Thermal Overload / Motor Overheating
E03
The controller shows E03, and the pump does not start, sometimes after a power outage.
Phase Loss / Phase Imbalance (Three-Phase Models)
E04
The digital controller displays E04, and the pump stops shortly after starting.
Dry-Run Protection / Low Flow Detected
E05
Controller displays E05, and the pump will not start, often after wiring changes.
Motor Wiring/Connection Error
E06
The pump starts then stops with E06, sometimes accompanied by a humming noise.
Capacitor Failure (Single-Phase Models)
E07
Controller displays E07, and pump speed cannot be adjusted on the variable-speed Calpeda pool pump.
Inverter/VFD Overvoltage or DC Bus Fault
E08
The pump controller displays E08, and the motor runs very slowly or not at all.
Undervoltage/Low Supply Voltage
E09
Controller displays E09, and the pump stops abruptly during operation.
Earth Leakage/Ground Fault Detected
E10
The variable-speed Calpeda pump displays E10 and cannot reach the set RPM.
Overload/Torque Limit Exceeded
E11
Controller displays E11, and the pump runs, but the display indicates a sensor error.
Temperature Sensor Fault (Motor or Water)
E12
The display shows E12, and the pump cannot be controlled from external automation.
Communication Error (Modbus/External Control)
E13
Controller intermittently displays E13, and the pump stops randomly.
Internal Controller Fault/Memory Error
E14
The display shows E14, and the pump cannot start due to a locked keypad.
Keypad Lock/User Interface Lockout
E15
Controller shows E15, and pump stops when external safety input is triggered.
External Interlock / Safety Chain Open
Symptom
Pump cannot be primed; it loses water from the housing when turned off
Non-Return / Check Valve Failure or Housing Leak
Symptom
Pump housing or surrounding area is leaking water while the pump is running.
Mechanical Seal or Housing Leak
Symptom
Pump is very noisy with a grinding or screeching sound while running.
Worn Motor Bearings
Symptom
Pump makes a loud rattling or clattering noise, especially at startup.
Cavitation / Impeller Damage
Symptom
Pump motor is very hot to the touch but still running.
Overheating Under Load
Symptom
Pump runs, but air bubbles are visible in the pump lid and at pool returns.
Suction Air Leak
Symptom
Pump runs, but flow is weak, and jets in the pool are barely moving.
Restricted Flow / System Head Too High
Symptom
Pump runs, but there is no water flow to the pool.
Loss of Prime / Airlocked Pump
Symptom
Pump speed fluctuates up and down without user input on variable-speed model
Unstable Control Signal / Sensor Feedback Issue
Symptom
Pump starts and stops repeatedly every few seconds.
Short Cycling / Control Instability
Symptom
Pump trips the circuit breaker immediately when switched on.
Short Circuit / Locked Rotor
Symptom
Pump vibrates excessively and moves on its base during operation.
Imbalance / Misalignment
Symptom
Pump will not start; only a humming sound is heard for a few seconds.
Failed Start Circuit (Single-Phase)
Symptom
The pump cannot be turned off from the local keypad but stops when the breaker is opened.
Stuck Contactor / Control Relay Fault
Symptom
The pump display is blank, but the motor runs when an external command is present.
Display / HMI Failure
Symptom
The pump emits a burning smell or visible smoke from the motor area.
Motor Overheating / Insulation Breakdown
Symptom
The pump lid is difficult to remove, and there is a strong vacuum when opening.
Excessive Suction / Blocked Return
Symptom
The pump runs normally, but there is water dripping from the motor end shield.
Advanced Mechanical Seal Failure with Motor Contamination
Symptom
The pump runs, but there is a high-pitched whine from the motor, especially on variable-speed models.
Inverter Switching Noise / Bearing Resonance
Symptom
The pump runs, but water appears cloudy, and circulation seems poor despite normal pressure.
Insufficient Turnover / Incorrect Speed Setting
Symptom
The pump will not restart automatically after a power outage.
Auto-Restart Disabled / Control Logic Issue
