E01
Pump will not start; the digital control panel powers on but the motor does not run.
Motor Start Inhibit / Overload Lockout
E02
Pump starts then quickly shuts off with E02 displayed on the Harris digital control panel.
Overcurrent / Overload Protection Trip
E03
Harris variable-speed pool pump displays E03 and will not run or stops intermittently.
Low Voltage / Undervoltage Fault
E04
Pump display shows E04 and the motor will not start or shuts down shortly after starting.
Overvoltage Protection Fault
E05
Harris variable-speed pump displays E05 and stops running, often after operating for some time.
Overtemperature / Drive Overheat Fault
E06
Display shows E06 and the pump will not start or runs erratically.
Motor Stall / Locked Rotor Detection
E07
Harris pump display shows E07 and the motor does not run.
Phase Loss / Phase Imbalance (for 230V models using an internal dual-phase drive)
E08
The pump displays E08 and will not start; this sometimes occurs after a lightning strike or power surge.
Drive Communication / Internal Electronics Fault
E09
Harris variable-speed pump displays E09 and stops; the speed cannot be adjusted.
Speed Sensor / Feedback Fault
E10
The pump displays E10 and will not prime or run at the set speed.
Priming Timeout / No-Flow Detected
E11
Harris pump display shows E11 and stops; this is often associated with external automation or a timer.
External Control / Communication Error
E12
The pump displays E12 and will not start; this sometimes occurs after incorrect wiring changes.
Ground Fault / Leakage Detection
E13
The Harris pump intermittently stops with E13; the display may flicker.
Internal Power Supply Fault
E14
The pump displays E14 and cannot be programmed; the keypad is unresponsive or erratic.
Keypad / User Interface Fault
E15
Harris pump shows E15 and runs only at a default speed or not at all
Program Memory / Parameter Corruption
Symptom
Pump is humming but will not start; may trip breaker after a few seconds
Failed Start Capacitor / Locked Rotor
Symptom
Pump is leaking water between the motor and the pump housing
Shaft Seal Failure
Symptom
Pump is very noisy with a loud grinding or screeching sound while running
Motor Bearing Failure
Symptom
Pump makes a loud cavitation or rattling noise and the pump pot is not completely full of water
Cavitation Due to Restricted Suction or High Lift
Symptom
Pump runs but there is no water flow or very weak flow at the pool returns
Hydraulic Flow Restriction / Loss of Prime
Symptom
Pump trips the circuit breaker immediately or within a few seconds of starting
Electrical Short / Overcurrent
Symptom
Pump will not prime; pump pot does not fill with water and pump makes a gurgling sound
Suction-Side Air Leak / Priming Failure
Symptom
The pump display is blank, but the motor hums or runs.
Display / User Interface Power Loss
Symptom
The pump does not start on schedule; the timer or programmed speeds are not being followed.
Timer / Scheduling Malfunction
Symptom
The pump emits a burning smell or visible smoke from the motor area.
Motor Overheating / Electrical Burn
Symptom
The pump housing or plumbing vibrates and makes a water hammer or banging noise when the pump stops.
Hydraulic Shock / Water Hammer
Symptom
The pump makes a rattling or clicking noise from the wet end, especially at startup.
Loose Impeller or Worn Diffuser
Symptom
The pump motor is extremely hot to the touch and may shut off intermittently.
Motor Overheating
Symptom
The pump motor runs but makes a low-frequency humming or buzzing noise and seems to lack power.
Capacitor Degradation / Voltage Imbalance
Symptom
The pump runs, but filter pressure is much lower than normal, and suction at the skimmer is weak.
Low Suction / Air Ingress
Symptom
The pump runs, but the pressure at the filter gauge is much higher than normal.
High System Backpressure
Symptom
The pump runs, but water appears cloudy and circulation seems poor despite normal pressure.
Inadequate Circulation / Underspeed Operation
Symptom
The pump turns on and off rapidly (short cycling) without user input.
Intermittent Power / Control Instability
Symptom
The pump vibrates excessively and may move slightly on the pad during operation.
Imbalance / Mounting Vibration
Symptom
The pump will not turn off using the keypad; it only turns off at the breaker.
Stuck Relay / Control Logic Fault
Symptom
Water leaking from around the clear pump lid on top of the Harris pump
Lid Seal / O-Ring Leak
Symptom
Water leaking from the drain plugs at the bottom of the Harris pump housing
Drain Plug Seal Leak
