Boundary Containment Failure
Robot mower occasionally runs outside the intended lawn area or crosses paths it should not

Possible Causes
Boundary wire too high above ground, Strong external electromagnetic interference, Incorrect boundary layout near metal fences, Broken or loose boundary wire stakes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF the mower before adjusting boundary wire.
- Check wire depth: Ensure the Makita boundary wire is pegged firmly to the ground or buried shallowly as recommended.
- Avoid metal structures: Keep boundary wire at the distance specified from metal fences, grids, or buried cables.
- Secure stakes: Add more pegs where the wire has lifted, especially on slopes or around corners.
- Interference sources: Identify and, if possible, move or shield devices that may emit strong electromagnetic fields near the lawn.
If the mower still crosses the boundary with a correct installation, the boundary sensor in the mower may be weak or faulty.
