Possible Causes

Front infrared wall sensors dirty, Sensor window scratched or covered, Loose sensor harness, Failed front IR sensor board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn OFF the robot.

Steps:

  • Locate front IR sensors: On Bagotte robots, these are usually dark plastic windows on the front bumper or front housing.
  • Clean sensor windows: Wipe gently with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Remove any stickers or protective films that may cover them.
  • Inspect for damage: Check for cracks or deep scratches that could distort the IR beam.
  • Reset the robot: Power OFF for 30 seconds, then ON again.
  • Test navigation: Start a cleaning cycle in a room with normal lighting and observe if the robot still misreads obstacles or throws E12.
  • If E12 continues: The front IR sensor board or its wiring may be defective. Replace the front obstacle sensor PCB or consult a technician.
