Possible Causes
Faulty IR receiver board, Disconnected receiver cable, Faulty indoor display PCB, Main indoor PCB communication failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect the power before removing the front panel.
Steps:
- 1. Check the remote first: Replace batteries and verify that the remote emits IR (view through a smartphone camera while pressing a button).
- 2. Inspect the receiver board: Remove the front cover to access the IR receiver/display board. Ensure its cable is firmly connected to the main PCB.
- 3. Look for damage: Check the receiver board for cracks, water damage, or burnt components.
- 4. Replace the receiver board: If damaged or unresponsive, replace it with a Baxi-compatible display/receiver module.
Note: If E21 persists with a new receiver, the indoor main PCB may be defective.
