Possible Causes
Thermostat set too close to room temperature causing rapid cycling, Power interruptions, Control PCB anti-short-cycle timer active, Faulty room sensor causing erratic readings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Steps:
- 1. Wait for the timer to expire: Many Baxi units enforce a 3–5 minute delay between compressor starts. Wait and see if the unit starts automatically.
- 2. Adjust the setpoint: Change the temperature setting by 2–3°C away from room temperature to reduce rapid cycling.
- 3. Avoid frequent power cycling: Do not repeatedly turn the unit on and off at the breaker.
Note: If E27 appears constantly and the unit never starts, the control PCB or sensor may be faulty and require service.
