Possible Causes

A full internal water tank, a blocked internal drain passage, a misaligned or stuck float, or a faulty water level sensor or switch.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off and unplug the unit before draining water.

  • Drain water: Place a shallow pan under the lower rear drain outlet. Remove the drain cap and allow all water to drain. Reinstall the cap securely.
  • Continuous drain setup: If using a continuous drain hose, ensure it slopes downward with no kinks and that the end is not submerged in standing water.
  • Clean drain path: Remove the rear panel to access the condensate tray. Clean out any slime, mold, or debris blocking the drain outlet.
  • Check float mechanism: Verify that the float moves freely and is not stuck in the up position. Clean and reposition it if necessary.
  • Test level switch: If P1 persists after draining and cleaning, test the water level switch or sensor with a multimeter and replace if faulty.
