Carrier air conditioner indoor unit louvers do not move or are stuck in one position.

Safety: Turn OFF power before working on louvers.

• Step 1 – Remove obstruction: Inspect the louver area and remove any foreign objects or heavy dust buildup.
• Step 2 – Manual movement: Gently move the louvers by hand (if the design allows). Do not force them if they resist strongly.
• Step 3 – Access mechanism: Remove the front cover and louver assembly to inspect the linkage and gears. Reseat any dislodged parts.
• Step 4 – Replace motor or linkage: If the motor does not run or the linkage is broken, replace the louver motor or louver assembly.
