How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn the unit off and unplug it before removing the filter.
Steps:
- Remove filter: Open the front grille and slide out the air filter.
- Clean filter: Vacuum dust from the filter, then wash with mild soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry completely.
- Inspect coil: With the filter removed, visually inspect the evaporator coil. If heavily dusty, gently brush or vacuum the fins.
- Reinstall and reset: Reinstall the dry filter, plug the unit back in, and reset the filter reminder as per the user manual (often by holding the Filter or Reset button for several seconds).
Note: CF is not a fault; it is a maintenance reminder. Regular cleaning improves performance and prevents other error codes.
