Possible Causes
No power to the outdoor unit, faulty communication cable, failed outdoor PCB, open thermal protector on the compressor.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before checking outdoor wiring.
Steps:
- Check outdoor isolator: Ensure the outdoor disconnect switch is ON and supplying power.
- Inspect power terminals: Open the outdoor unit's electrical panel and, by a qualified person, verify tight connections and the presence of voltage.
- Check communication cable: Confirm that the interconnecting cable is intact and correctly wired between the indoor and outdoor units.
- Listen for relay clicks: When the indoor unit calls for cooling, you should hear relays click in the outdoor unit. If not, the outdoor PCB may be faulty.
Note: Further diagnosis (compressor and PCB testing) should be performed by a qualified technician.
