Possible Causes
Failed condenser NTC sensor, sensor detached from the coil, wiring fault, main PCB sensor circuit failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off the power and allow the unit to cool.
Steps:
- Access condenser: Remove the rear/outdoor cover to access the condenser coil.
- Verify sensor mounting: Ensure the sensor is firmly attached to the condenser tubing or fins. Re-secure it with a clip or aluminum tape.
- Inspect harness: Check for cuts, burns, or loose connectors. Reseat the connector on the PCB.
- Test sensor: Measure resistance and compare it to other NTC sensors at a similar temperature. Replace if open-circuited or short-circuited.
A persistent F3 with a functional sensor indicates a likely main PCB fault.
