Possible Causes
Full condensate tray, blocked internal drain channel, kinked external drain hose, stuck float switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off and unplug the unit before draining.
Steps:
- Drain water: Move the unit to a drain area. Remove the lower drain plug and drain all water into a shallow pan or tray.
- Clean tray and channel: If accessible, remove the lower cover and clean the condensate tray and drain channel of slime, dust, and scale.
- Check float: Verify the float switch moves freely and is not stuck. Clean and re-seat it.
- Drain hose: If using continuous drain, ensure the hose is not kinked and slopes downward.
After draining and cleaning, reconnect power. If P1 returns immediately, the float switch or its wiring may be faulty and should be replaced.
