Unit turns on but compressor never starts (only fan runs, no cooling)

Safety first: Unplug the unit. Compressor circuits carry high voltage; use caution.

• Step 1 – Listen for compressor:
  • When switching to COOL, listen for a deeper humming sound indicating compressor start.
  • If you only hear the fan, suspect start components or control.
• Step 2 – Inspect start components:
  • Access the compressor compartment and locate the start relay and capacitor.
  • Check for burn marks or bulging on the capacitor.
• Step 3 – Test/replace capacitor and relay:
  • Discharge the capacitor safely, then test its capacitance.
  • Replace with a matching Pro Breeze Compressor Capacitor and Compressor Start Relay if faulty.

If the compressor still does not start, the compressor itself or the main PCB may be defective; professional diagnosis is recommended.
