The remote control does not operate the unit, but the indoor display has power.

Step 1 – Replace batteries: Install new high-quality batteries in the remote, observing polarity.

• Step 2 – Check IR path: Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote and the indoor unit receiver window.
• Step 3 – Test remote: Point the remote at a smartphone camera; pressing buttons should show a flashing light on the camera screen. If not, the remote is faulty.
• Step 4 – Use manual controls: Some Royal Clima units have an emergency ON/OFF button under the front panel. Use it to verify the unit itself works.

When to call a technician: If the remote works but the unit does not respond, the IR receiver board or indoor PCB may need replacement.
