Possible Causes

Weak heating element, Failing relay contacts causing intermittent power, Miscalibrated temperature sensor, Excessive heat loss due to door seal leak

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug before internal inspection.

  • Verify load: Avoid overfilling the basket; large loads can prevent proper heating.
  • Compare temperature: Place an oven thermometer inside and run at a known setting. If actual temperature is much lower than set, continue troubleshooting.
  • Inspect door seal: On oven-style Chefman models, check the door gasket for gaps, tears, or compression. Replace if leaking heat.
  • Check element and relay: Inspect the heating element and listen for relay clicking on and off. If the relay chatters or the element glows only dimly, the relay or element may be failing.
  • Sensor calibration: If hardware appears fine but temperatures are consistently off, the NTC sensor or control board calibration may be faulty. Replace the sensor first, then the control PCB if needed.
