Possible Causes
Open heating element, Tripped thermal fuse, Faulty heater relay on control PCB, Loose heater wiring connection
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and allow the unit to cool completely.
Steps:
- Confirm symptom: Run the unit for 5 minutes at maximum temperature with an empty basket. Carefully feel for hot air at the exhaust (without touching metal). If air is cool, proceed.
- Inspect heater: Look at the heating element through the top or side openings. Check for visible breaks or burn marks.
- Check wiring: Open the housing and inspect the heater terminals and wires. Tighten any loose spade connectors and replace burnt ones.
- Test element and fuse: Measure resistance across the heater and thermal fuse. Replace any open components with Electrolux-specified parts.
- Control relay: If hardware is intact, the heater relay on the main PCB may not be energizing. Replacement of the PCB is usually required.
