Basket is difficult to slide in or out; it sticks or jams.

Safety: Let the unit cool before forcing the basket. Unplug before internal inspection.

Steps to improve basket movement:

• Clean rails and guides: Remove the basket and pan. Clean the side rails and bottom guides inside the cavity to remove grease and debris.
• Inspect for bending: Check the basket frame and rails for bending. Gently straighten minor bends with pliers.
• Check pan fit: Ensure the pan is fully seated in the basket and not warped. Replace if significantly deformed.
• Inspect latch: Examine the latch mechanism on the handle and the mating part on the basket for damage. Replace the basket/handle assembly if broken.

Note: Do not slam the basket; this can worsen alignment issues.
