Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and let it cool. The fan and heater area can be hot and may have sharp edges.

• Listen for fan operation: When you start a cycle (before unplugging), note whether you hear the fan spin up. E6 often appears when the fan fails to reach speed.

• Control board check: If the motor and wiring are good but the fan never receives voltage during operation, the fan driver circuit on the main control board may be defective and require replacement.
