Possible Causes

Seized convection fan motor,Open fan motor winding,Loose fan motor connector,Failed fan driver on main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool. The fan area may be hot.

  • Check for obstruction: Remove the basket and look up toward the fan. Ensure no food debris or warped accessories are blocking the fan blades.
  • Spin test: With the unit unplugged, gently try to spin the fan blades with a wooden stick. They should rotate freely. If stiff or stuck, the fan motor bearings may be seized and the motor should be replaced.
  • Inspect wiring: Access the top cover to reach the fan motor. Check the motor connector at both the motor and the main control board. Reseat any loose plugs.
  • Test motor (advanced): Disconnect the fan motor and measure resistance across its terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. For DC brushless motors, also check for obvious burn marks or melted insulation.
  • Board diagnosis: If the motor tests good but never receives voltage during a cook cycle, the fan driver circuit on the main control board is likely faulty and the board should be replaced.
