H2
Swan
High Temperature Lockout / Overheat Latch
H2 appears, and the unit shuts down or refuses to start a new cycle until cooled.

Possible Causes
Continuous back-to-back cooking cycles without cooling, blocked exhaust vents, faulty high-limit thermostat calibration, NTC sensor reading too high.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and allow at least 30 minutes for cooling before further inspection.
- Allow cool-down: Many Swan models will display H2 if the internal temperature is above a safe threshold. Leave the basket open and the unit unplugged to speed cooling.
- Check for obstructions: Inspect rear and side vents for obstructions such as walls, curtains, or other appliances. Maintain at least 10 cm clearance.
- Clean exhaust path: Remove grease buildup from the exhaust grill using a soft brush and mild detergent. Ensure it is fully dry before use.
- Sensor and thermostat check: If H2 appears even when the unit is cold, the NTC sensor or high-limit thermostat may be faulty. Inspect their mounting and wiring as described in other entries.
If the error occurs frequently under normal use, have a technician verify the calibration of the thermostat and sensor and inspect the main PCB control logic.
