Possible Causes

Failed internal boiler pump, Airlock in the primary loop, Blocked primary filter or strainer, Incorrect pump wiring

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power and allow the boiler to cool before touching any piping.

  • Check pump operation: During a call for heat, place a hand on the primary pump body. You should feel vibration and slight warmth. If silent and cold, it may not be operating.
  • Bleed air: Use any built-in air vents or bleed screws near the pump to release trapped air.
  • Inspect isolation valves: Ensure isolation valves on either side of the pump are open.
  • Check wiring: With power off, verify the pump harness is securely connected to the control board or pump relay.

If E19 persists, the pump may require replacement, or the control output may be faulty. A technician should measure the pump's current draw and verify flow.
