Boiler frequently locks out during very cold weather; the external condensate pipe is icy.

Safety: Take care when working outside in icy conditions; there is a risk of slipping.

• Locate the condensate outlet: Find the plastic pipe from the boiler that discharges into a drain.
• Thaw the pipe: Pour warm (not boiling) water along the length of the frozen section. Do not use open flames or boiling water.
• Reset the boiler: Once thawed and draining, reset the boiler and check for normal operation.
• Prevent recurrence: Insulate the external condensate pipe and, if possible, have a technician reroute or increase its diameter according to Wolf and local regulations.
