Morphy Richards Excessive Foam / Detergent Overuse

Foam or bubbles coming out of the exhaust or around the dirty water tank.

Possible Causes

Too much detergent in the solution, use of non-carpet-cleaner detergent, dirty water tank overfilled with foam, blocked foam filter.

Safety: Unplug the appliance if foam reaches electrical areas.

Stop and empty tank: Remove and empty the dirty water tank. Rinse out the foam thoroughly.
Rinse filters: Wash the foam filter and any mesh screens to remove detergent residue.
Use correct detergent: Refill with the recommended Morphy Richards carpet shampoo at the correct dilution. Avoid household cleaners that foam heavily.
Monitor fill level: Do not allow the dirty water tank to fill beyond the max line; excessive foam can trigger premature shutoff or leaks.
