Milk froth is poor, large bubbles, or no froth at all.

Safety first: Allow the steam system to cool before disassembling the frother.

• Clean milk frother: Disassemble the milk frother or carafe head and soak parts in warm water with Bosch milk system cleaner or mild detergent. Use the cleaning needle to clear small holes.
• Check air intake: Ensure the small air hole on the frother is not blocked by dried milk.
• Use fresh cold milk: Use refrigerated semi-skimmed or whole milk; avoid UHT or lactose-free milk for best froth.
• Run milk system cleaning program: Use the built-in cleaning cycle regularly to prevent buildup.
• If froth remains poor: The frother insert or internal steam circuit may be scaled or worn and require replacement or descaling.
