Automatic Shutoff / Timer Function
The display shows “AUTO OFF” or the unit shuts off after a short time and will not keep the plate warm as expected.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: This is a normal safety feature; do not attempt to bypass the auto-off function by modifying wiring.
Adjust Auto-Off (if supported):
- Consult your model’s manual; many Hamilton Beach models allow changing the keep-warm time (e.g., 0–4 hours).
- Typically, press and hold the BREW OPTIONS or KEEP WARM button until the time flashes, then adjust using the HOUR/MINUTE buttons.
If the unit shuts off immediately after brewing and will not re-engage the warming plate, the control board relay or timer circuit may be faulty and require replacement.
