Possible Causes

Faulty thermistor on the single-serve heater, Loose thermistor connector, Damaged wiring harness to the single-serve control board, Control board sensor circuit failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the FlexBrew and allow it to cool completely.

Reset Attempt:

  • Unplug the appliance for 10–15 minutes, then plug it back in and try a single-serve brew with water only.

Inspect Single-Serve Base (Advanced):

  • Remove the screws from the single-serve side's bottom cover.
  • Locate the single-serve heater block and the attached thermistor.
  • Check that the thermistor plug is fully seated on the board and that the wires are not pinched or broken.

If E1 persists and the wiring appears intact, the thermistor or control board is likely defective and should be replaced by a service technician.
