Used Coffee Grounds Counter / Sensor Issue
Machine displays 'Empty grounds container' even when it is empty and reinserted.

Possible Causes
Grounds container not fully inserted, dirty or faulty container sensor, software counter not resetting properly, broken actuator tab on container.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Step 1 – Properly reset the container:
- With the machine on, remove the drip tray and grounds container.
- Wait 10 seconds, then reinsert both fully until they click into place.
Step 2 – Clean the sensor area:
- Clean the area where the container slides in; remove any coffee residues.
Step 3 – Power cycle:
- Turn the machine off and unplug it for 5 minutes, then restart.
Step 4 – Inspect the container and sensor (advanced):
- Check the container for a broken plastic tab that actuates the sensor; replace the container if damaged.
- With the housing removed (unplug the machine first), test the sensor or microswitch and replace it if faulty.
