Possible Causes

Empty or mis-seated water tank, Blocked tank filter or intake hose, Airlock in vibration pump, Scale blockage in inlet solenoid valve

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug before disconnecting hoses. Protect surfaces from water spills.

  • Check tank and hoses: Ensure the tank is full and properly seated. Remove and clean the tank filter. Straighten any kinked hoses.
  • Prime the pump: Fill the tank completely, then run the pump with the steam wand or hot water tap open until a steady stream of water flows. This can clear airlocks.
  • Backflush the intake (advanced): With the machine OFF and unplugged, disconnect the hose at the pump inlet and gently draw water through with a syringe to confirm flow from the tank.
  • Check inlet solenoid (if fitted): On some Lelit models, an inlet solenoid controls water to the boiler. If scaled, it may not open. Descale or replace the inlet solenoid valve if blocked.
