Weak coffee flow; shots are slow or choke the machine even with a coarse grind.

Safety first: Allow the group head to cool slightly before disassembly.

• Clean the shower screen: Remove the screw holding the shower screen and dispersion plate. Soak them in hot water with espresso cleaner, then scrub and rinse.
• Inspect the group jet: Some Lelit E61 groups have a small jet or restrictor. If accessible, remove and clean it with a fine needle to clear coffee oils and scale.
• Backflush the group: Use a blind filter basket and a backflush detergent approved for espresso machines. Run several backflush cycles to clean the three-way valve and internal passages.
• Clean baskets: Soak portafilter baskets and spouts in cleaner to remove coffee oils that can restrict flow.
• Descale if needed: If restriction persists, perform a controlled descaling of the brew circuit following Lelit’s instructions.
