Possible Causes

Dirty drip tray and used capsule container, stagnant water in the tank, coffee residue in the brew head and spout, or poor drying between uses.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Cleaning:

  • Thoroughly wash the drip tray, used capsule container, and water tank with warm soapy water; rinse and dry.
  • Clean the brew head and spout area with a damp cloth and mild detergent; run several rinse cycles without capsules.
  • Leave the lever open and tank empty when storing the machine to allow drying.

If smell persists, disassemble the spout and outlet tubing (if accessible) and clean or replace them.
