How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and let it cool before handling the brew basket.
- Clean thoroughly: Remove the brew basket and wash it with warm soapy water, paying special attention to the drip stop mechanism.
- Check spring action: Press the drip stop from underneath; it should move smoothly and spring back to a closed position.
- Inspect seal: Look for cracks or deformation in the rubber or silicone seal. If damaged, the basket assembly or valve should be replaced.
- Replace basket: If the basket is warped or the valve cannot be serviced, replace the entire brew basket assembly with a compatible Proctor Silex part.
