Water tank empty, tank not seated correctly, stuck float in water tank, faulty water level reed switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before removing the water tank if you need to inspect it closely.
- Refill tank: Fill the water tank to at least the MIN level and reseat it firmly.
- Check float movement: Tilt the tank and listen/feel for the float moving. If it does not move, rinse the tank with warm water and mild detergent.
- Clean tank contacts/area: Wipe the tank and the area where it sits to remove scale or coffee residue.
- Test with another tank (if available): If you have a spare Senseo tank, try it to rule out a defective float.
- Persistent warning: The internal reed switch may be faulty and should be replaced by a technician.
