Grinder is extremely loud, squeals, or makes metallic grinding noises during operation.

Safety: Unplug the machine and keep fingers away from burrs.

• Stop using immediately: Running the grinder with a foreign object can destroy the burrs and motor.
• Empty hopper and inspect: Remove beans and inspect the burr area with a flashlight. Remove any foreign objects with tweezers.
• Check burr condition: Look for chipped or uneven burr edges. Replace the burr set if damaged.
• Verify mounting: Tighten any loose screws holding the grinder body or burr carrier.
• Test noise: Run the grinder briefly without beans. If noise persists, the motor bearings may be failing and the grinder motor assembly should be replaced.
