Possible Causes
Corrupted firmware on main PCB, Faulty communication between handle PCB and main PCB, Moisture ingress on electronics, Damaged wiring harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery and do not operate the vacuum if there are signs of liquid damage.
- Power reset: Remove the battery for at least 5 minutes. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds with the battery removed to discharge residual power. Reinstall the battery and test.
- Check for moisture: Inspect the main body and handle for signs of water ingress (staining, corrosion, fogged plastic). If the vacuum was used to pick up liquids or stored in a damp area, internal corrosion may have damaged the PCB.
- Inspect external wiring: Check visible wiring between the handle, main body, and floorhead for pinched or cut cables. Ensure all external connectors click firmly into place.
- Drying (if recently wet): If the unit was recently exposed to moisture, remove the battery and leave the vacuum in a warm, dry room for 48 hours. Do not use heat sources. After drying, reinstall the battery and test.
- PCB replacement: If E9 persists and there is no obvious wiring damage, the main PCB or handle PCB is likely faulty. Replacement of the main PCB is usually required and may be best done by a service technician.
