Possible Causes

Open or shorted NTC temperature sensor inside battery pack, Broken sensor wiring to BMS, BMS firmware detecting unrealistic temperature values, Battery pack overheated from previous heavy use

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery from the vacuum and let it rest on a non-flammable surface.

  • Step 1 – Cool down: Allow the battery to cool at room temperature for at least 1 hour. Do not place it in a fridge or freezer.
  • Step 2 – Visual inspection: Check the battery casing for warping, cracks, or burn marks. If any are present, do not use the battery again.
  • Step 3 – Retry charging: After cooling, place the battery on the original Cecotec charger and observe if the error clears.

If E10 continues, the internal temperature sensor or BMS is likely damaged. The safe solution is to replace the entire battery pack; internal sensor repair is not recommended for end users.
