F8 code appears; the vacuum cannot start the cleaning cycle and may show a lock icon.

Safety: Ensure the vacuum is off.

• Disable child lock: On many Dreame cordless models, press and hold the mode button or a specific button combination (refer to the user manual) for 3–5 seconds until the lock icon disappears.
• Power cycle: Remove the battery for 1 minute, reinstall it, and try disabling the lock again.
• Check buttons: Ensure the lock-related button is not physically stuck.

If F8 or the lock icon cannot be cleared, the handle PCB or firmware may be corrupted and require service.
