Safety first: Turn off the vacuum and remove the battery.

Isolate the noise source: Run the vacuum without the floor head (handheld only). If the noise decreases significantly, the issue is with the floor head. Otherwise, it is in the main body.
Inspect brush roll: Remove and spin the brush roll by hand. Replace it if it grinds or wobbles.
Check for debris in head: Look inside the floor head for small objects contacting the brush roll or motor.
Service main motor: If the loud noise persists in handheld mode, the main motor bearings or fan are likely damaged. This requires replacing the entire motor assembly.
