Vacuum produces a musty or unpleasant odor during use.

Safety first: Turn off the vacuum and remove the battery. Do not use harsh chemicals inside the air path.

• Empty and wash bin: Remove the dust bin and wash it with mild soap and warm water, if your model allows. Dry it completely.
• Clean or replace filters: Wash washable filters and allow them to dry for 24 hours. Replace non-washable filters if they have an unpleasant odor.
• Clean attachments: Wipe down the wand and floor head exterior with a slightly damp cloth. Do not soak the motorized floor head.
• Avoid vacuuming wet material: Only vacuum dry debris to prevent mold growth.
