Gorenje Reduced Battery Capacity / Battery Aging

The vacuum runs for only a few minutes on a full charge before shutting off; the battery indicator drops quickly.

Possible Causes

Aged lithium-ion cells, frequent partial charging cycles, storage at high temperature, internal cell imbalance.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Remove the battery and inspect for swelling or damage. Do not use a damaged battery.

Usage check:

  • Fully charge the battery on the original Gorenje charger until the indicator shows 100%.
  • Run the vacuum continuously on standard mode and time the runtime.

If the runtime is significantly below the specification in the user manual, the battery has lost capacity. Replace it with a genuine Gorenje battery pack.
