Possible Causes

Non-genuine or incompatible battery pack, Faulty battery ID circuit, Damaged ID pin on battery connector, Control PCB firmware issue

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Use only genuine Numatic batteries approved for your model.

  • Verify battery type: Check the label on the battery to ensure it matches the model series recommended in your manual.
  • Inspect ID pin: Look at the smaller signal pins on the battery and vacuum connector. If one is bent or recessed, the machine may not detect the battery correctly.
  • Test with known-good genuine battery: If available, try a battery that is confirmed to work in another Numatic cordless vacuum.

If the icon appears even with a known-good genuine battery and intact pins, the control PCB may need firmware update or replacement by a service center.
