Possible Causes
Brush roll jammed with hair, failed brush motor, broken drive belt (if belt-driven), damaged wiring in nozzle or connector.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and detach the nozzle before inspection.
- Step 1 – Clear jams: Remove the brush roll and cut away hair and threads. Ensure it spins freely.
- Step 2 – Check for a belt (if applicable): Some Philips nozzles use a small belt. If visible and broken or loose, replace the belt.
- Step 3 – Inspect wiring: Check the nozzle connector and cable for visible damage.
- Step 4 – Test nozzle: Reassemble and connect the nozzle. Turn the vacuum on and toggle the brush function. If it still does not spin, the brush motor or internal PCB is likely faulty.
- Step 5 – Replace nozzle: Replace the complete motorized floor nozzle assembly.
