Possible Causes
Dustbin not fully seated, broken dustbin latch, faulty bin detection microswitch, damaged bin sensor on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the vacuum and remove the battery before inspecting the bin mechanism.
- Reseat dustbin: Remove the dustbin and reinstall it firmly until it clicks. Ensure no debris is trapped around the latch.
- Inspect latch: Check the bin latch for cracks or deformation that prevent full engagement.
- Check switch actuator: Look for a small plastic tab on the bin that presses a switch inside the body. If broken, the bin may not be detected.
- Test switch: With the bin removed and the battery out, manually press the bin switch (if accessible) and listen for a click. If it does not click, the switch may be faulty.
- Replace parts: Replace the Dustbin Assembly if the tab or latch is broken. If the switch is defective, replace the Bin Detection Switch or associated PCB.
