Charge Required / Low Voltage Lockout
The display shows CHG or a flashing plug icon; the vacuum will not run and indicates it must be charged even after recent charging.

Possible Causes
Battery voltage below safe discharge threshold, Incomplete previous charge, Battery self-discharge from long storage, Weak battery cells
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use only the original Rowenta charger.
- Perform a full uninterrupted charge: Place the vacuum or battery on the charger and leave it for at least 3–4 hours until the indicator shows full.
- Avoid using during charge: Do not repeatedly start the vacuum while it is charging; this can prevent the battery from reaching full charge.
- Check storage habits: If the vacuum has been unused for months, the battery may have self-discharged. Several full charge cycles may be needed to restore capacity.
- Test runtime: After a full charge, run the vacuum continuously and time the runtime. Compare with the specification in the manual.
- Replace battery if runtime is short: If CHG reappears quickly and runtime is much shorter than expected, the battery pack is likely worn and should be replaced.
