Possible Causes

Filters saturated with dirt and moisture, dust build-up on motor windings, hair or fibers burning on brush bar, pet hair accumulation in floorhead

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery and allow the vacuum to cool before inspection.

  • 1. Clean or replace filters: Remove pre-motor and HEPA filters. Wash if allowed, or replace if heavily soiled or smelly.
  • 2. Clean dust bin and cyclone: Empty the bin and wipe with a slightly damp cloth. Allow to dry completely before reassembly.
  • 3. Inspect brush bar: Remove hair and fibers that may be rubbing and heating on the brush bar or end caps.
  • 4. Check for burning signs: If you see scorch marks or melted plastic near the motor vents, stop using the vacuum and seek service.
