Possible Causes
Leak from sump seal or circulation pump, Split inlet or drain hose, Loose hose clamp inside base, Overfoaming causing water overflow into base tray
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and close the water tap immediately. Water and electricity are a dangerous combination.
- Check for external leaks: Look around and under the dishwasher for visible water. Mop up any standing water on the floor.
- Drain base tray: Carefully pull the dishwasher out and tilt it slightly backward (about 45°) over a towel to allow water in the base tray to drain out. This may temporarily clear E15.
- Inspect inside base: Remove the bottom cover to inspect for dripping hoses, loose clamps, or cracks in the sump or pump housing. Tighten any loose clamps and replace damaged hoses.
- Check detergent use: Overuse of detergent or using regular dish soap can cause foam overflow. Use only dishwasher tablets or powder and follow dosage instructions.
- Test run: After drying and correcting any leaks, run a short cycle while observing the base for new leaks.
- Professional repair: Persistent E15 indicates an ongoing leak that must be located and repaired by a technician.
