Possible Causes
Open-circuit heater element in circulation pump, Burnt heater relay on control board, Loose heater wiring, Overheat thermostat tripped
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the dishwasher. Heating components operate at mains voltage and can be hazardous.
- Confirm symptom: Run a hot program and open the door mid-cycle (carefully) to check if water is warm. If cold and E09 appears, proceed.
- Access heater: Remove the lower front panel and bottom cover to access the integrated heater/circulation pump assembly.
- Test heater: Disconnect heater terminals and measure resistance with a multimeter. Typical values are 20–30 Ω. If open, replace the heater/pump assembly.
- Inspect wiring and connectors: Look for burnt or loose terminals at the heater and on the main PCB. Repair or replace damaged connectors.
- Control board: If the heater tests good but no voltage is supplied during heating, the control board heater relay may be faulty and the board may need repair or replacement.
